Boardoza ESP32-S3 LoRa GPS Tracker 868 MHz Evaluation Board
The Boardoza LoRa GPS Tracker EVM 868 MHz R1.0 is a battery-powered wireless tracking and environmental-monitoring platform combining LoRa long-range communication, multi-constellation GNSS positioning, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy and temperature/humidity sensing on a single board.
The board is controlled by an ESP32-S3-MINI-1-N8 module featuring a dual-core processor, integrated 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy and 8 MB embedded flash memory. The ESP32-S3 manages GNSS data acquisition, LoRa communication, environmental sensing, power control, battery monitoring and USB communication.
Location information is provided by the Quectel LC86G multi-GNSS receiver. The LC86G supports GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou and QZSS satellite systems and communicates with the ESP32-S3 through a UART interface. The board provides both an integrated GNSS antenna and an external IPEX antenna connection.
Long-range wireless communication is provided by an intended Ebyte E22-900M22S LoRa module based on the Semtech SX1262 transceiver. It operates across the 850–930 MHz frequency range and supports 868 MHz and 915 MHz applications. The LoRa module communicates with the ESP32-S3 through SPI and provides a maximum RF output power of 22 dBm.
The board can be powered through USB-C or an onboard 18650 lithium-ion battery. An MCP73832 linear charger provides battery charging, while a TPS63070 buck-boost converter generates a stable 3.3 V system supply. Battery voltage can be monitored by the ESP32-S3 through an onboard resistor-divider circuit.
LoRa communication range depends on antenna installation, data rate and propagation conditions. No fixed range is guaranteed in buildings, vehicles or urban environments.
