Boardoza OPT3001 Breakout Board
The Boardoza OPT3001 Breakout Board is a compact and highly accurate ambient light sensing solution based on the Texas Instruments OPT3001 digital lux sensor. Designed to closely match the human eye’s response to visible light, the OPT3001 provides precise ambient light measurements while offering strong infrared (IR) rejection for reliable readings under a wide range of lighting conditions. With a measurement range of 0.01 lux to 83,000 lux and an integrated automatic full-scale setting, the sensor provides an effective dynamic range of up to 23 bits without requiring manual calibration or gain adjustment. Its low-power operation, interrupt functionality, and standard I²C-compatible interface make the board ideal for smart lighting systems, mobile devices, automatic display brightness control, battery-powered electronics, industrial automation, and IoT applications.
