Boardoza MAX31855K K-Type Thermocouple Breakout Board
Boardoza MAX31855K Thermocouple Breakout Board is a high-precision thermal measurement module designed for K-type thermocouples, featuring internal cold-junction compensation and a 14-bit analog-to-digital converter. Powered by the MAX31855K converter IC, the board resolves temperatures down to 0.25°C across an operating range of -200°C to +1350°C, outputting digitized temperature readings and diagnostics over a read-only SPI interface. The analog input stage incorporates differential filtering to reject environmental noise and electromagnetic interference from the thermocouple leads, supported by built-in hardware fault detection for open circuits and shorts to VCC or GND. This module delivers a dependable plug-and-play solution for industrial furnaces, HVAC systems, exhaust gas sensing, and high-temperature process monitoring.

Key Features
- Integrated Cold-Junction Compensation: Used with K-type thermocouples featuring built-in reference junction compensation for accurate thermal tracking.
- High-Resolution 14-Bit ADC: Delivers 0.25°C resolution across a wide temperature measurement span ranging from -200°C to +1350°C.
- Hardware Fault Diagnostics: Automatically detects and reports open thermocouple circuits as well as shorts to VCC or GND.
- Read-Only SPI Interface: Outputs 32-bit data packets containing compensated thermocouple temperature, internal reference junction temperature, and fault flags over a standard SPI bus.
- Differential Input Noise Filtering: Features an onboard differential filter network to suppress ambient electromagnetic interference (EMI) and transient noise along thermocouple leads.
