Boardoza AMG8833 Grid-EYE Infrared Thermal Sensor Breakout Board
The AMG8833 Infrared Thermal Sensor Breakout Board is designed to enable fast and reliable integration of the Panasonic AMG8833 Grid-EYE infrared thermal sensor into embedded systems. The board features an onboard LDO regulator that provides the 3.3 V supply voltage required by the sensor, allowing it to operate seamlessly with 5 V systems. In addition, the onboard bidirectional I²C level shifter enables compatibility with both 3.3 V and 5 V logic-level systems. The AMG8833 features an 8 × 8 pixel (64-point) infrared sensing array capable of measuring temperature distribution without physical contact and communicates via the I²C interface. The board also includes a power indicator LED, the required bypass capacitors, and I²C pull-up resistors. It can be easily interfaced with Arduino, STM32, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, and other I²C-compatible development platforms. The board is suitable for a wide range of applications, including human presence detection, motion sensing, thermal mapping, smart building systems, and industrial temperature monitoring.
